Look upon me and see a new face. I stand before you a new woman for I have conquered the despised enemy that is Mayflower. However, I have not yet fully tasted victory. Although the main battle has been won, the war is not over yet. Mayflower proved to be a worthy opponent. But it possesses the ability to resurrect itself, only in a different form. Now, after a tiring week or so of combat against the Mayflower, I must now battle another fiendish foe: the Summer Reading Questions. Fear not for my faith will stand strong. I will not fail because I am armed with courage, full of determination, and aided by the teachings of all my mentors. I say to this evil beast, this vile Summer Reading Questions, the same exact words senior master ninja extraordinaire, Master Shaolin, taught me to say whenever faced with a great challenge: “BRING IT.”
***AWKWARD HUMPING STARFISH-OX-TURTLE HYBRID MOMENT***
Okay so, weird ninja-slash-nerdfighter-like bit aside, I am finished with Mayflower! Yesssss...let's all HAPPY DANCE, everyone!!!
***MAJORLY EPIC SIMULTANEOUS HAPPY DANCE***
Whew, that was tiring. Okay, back on track. Just to let you know, this will be the LONGEST post EVER. Yups, check the tags. It says so.
Right. Well then, on to the points of varying levels of interest to you, but all of significant interest to me:
I. ResponsesI don't have much except for some major ones in general and a couple that are specific to your
post yesterday, August 16. I will organize this post as an outline (minus the indentations so pay close attention to the marks!) because I'm Jen. Let's begin.
A. White open spaces! Again and again! Okay, are you working on your posts on Word then copying and pasting it on here? 'Cause if you are, then that would explain the huge white spaces. If you continue to do that, you'll have to manually delete all of the white spaces on here after you paste it to get rid of the white spaces. Or you can be a normal blogger and just type it straight on here. But get rid of you white spaces, darn it!
B. As to what is "in that food" as you so eloquently put, I think I see some cheese, tomatoes, onions, queso, are those chives?, sour cream, lettuce, and even more cheeeeessssyyyyyy queso. Mmmmm, cheese. Who cares what else is in there? Look at all that cheese! I haven't had dairy in a long time. *tear*
C. I, myself, also like the song Just the Way You Are by Bruno Mars.
D. I'm also having a hard time for NaNoWriMo. I haven't told you yet, but I totally scrapped the whole dream idea and came up with a new one that I'm so in love with right now. But the problem is it's not fully formed yet. I have EVERYTHING except for a good plot. Which is basically what I need in order for everything to work and have meaning and gah. So, my new idea revolves around the perfect friendship. But I don't really wanna give anything away. So yeah.
E. I am working on setting SMART goals for junior year (more on this later on in the post) and I think that improving your spelling should be one of yours. It's good that you noticed that those particular words are the ones you misspell all the time because now you know what to work on. You should do daily exercises where you write out all of your problematic words correctly spelled, maybe three times everyday and by Christmas, you'll be able to spell them correctly without even thinking. You should totally do it! I'd be happy to help.
II. Tasklist
Okay, so this week is crunch week because we go back to school on Monday! So here's how it looks for me right now (I'm just gonna type it here because I haven't actually mapped out the stuff that I have to do just yet; these are not in order):
Wednesday - ortho and opto appointments; study/review Spanish 2 stuff because I've forgotten everything, finish up chapter one of Physics (I already started and I finished the first half on Sunday night); begin Mayflower questions; prep my locker box thing; write up of Imua features brainstorm
Thursday - finish Matt's cat and possibly work on 3-page project; Josh has orientation and lockers are open so have to go to school to dump stuff; work on my dad's airman thing (I won't even bother to explain)
Friday - (MAJOR WORK DAY) Clean up and reorganize all flashdrives, computer files and my Yahoo! Inbox; finish Mayflower questions; finalize PSAT vocab list; clean up trig binder/stuff; I think I have a family party up in Waialua; transfer Wrock songs
Saturday - finish wrapping boxes for Miss Tamas; everything NaNoWriMo related on my to-do list; finish reading Policy debate topic overview; actually fix up my bag and stuffs; wash my shoes; help my dad make my locker thing
Sunday - do anything I did not finish and sleep early
Oh and I have to blog everyday of course. And those will probably be just updates on what I've accomplished.
III. Soundtrack of My Summer(s)
So, I started doing this last summer because last summer was quite a memorable period of my life. Well, you now how I love to make playlists. Just this summer I have made a total of 31 playlists.
Now I base all of my playlists on a specific person, place, thing, time, feeling, food, etc. The thing is that once a song is related to a person, place, thing, time, feeling, food, etc. I rarely every think of it as not being related to a person, place, thing, time, feeling, food, etc. So if my feelings about a certain person, place, thing, time, feeling, food, etc. changes for some reason, I am stuck in a weird position when I listen to the same song again.
This sounds kind of confusing so let me provide you with an example: Let's say that I like the smell of wood. So, the song "My Best Friend Plank" is placed in my playlist appropriately titled "Wood." But then one day, I am walking along the street when suddenly, I hear a loud crack. And BOOM. A huge branch falls on the pavement right behind me, exactly where I was a split second ago. I think that it's weird, but I keep walking. And I hear another loud crack. And BOOM. It happens again. Then I come to a sudden realization: the trees are trying to kill me. And I run all the way home. I take refuge in my room and grabp my iPod, searching for comfort. I hit play and, yes, a man starts singing about his best friend who is actually a plank of wood and is therefore named Plank. And suddenly, my love for wood transfoms into fear. And I think wood is evil. Many years pass and my love for wood returns. I listen to the same song again and I can't help but remember that, years ago, two trees had tried to kill me. And I feel sad. You know what I mean, now?
Okay, well regardless of whether you understand or not, I'm just gonna go ahead. So I had quite an extensive list for my unofficial Soundtrack of Summer '09 and it included:
-Thunder and Go by Boys Like Girls
-Crush by Cute Is What We Aim For
-Come Right Out and Say It by Relient K
-Sweet Pea by Amos Lee
-Don't Forget by Demi Lovato
-Nothing Lasts Forever by Maroon 5
Anyway, that's just a part of it. So here are some songs from my extensive and unofficial Soundtrack of Summer '10:
-Your Love by Nicki Minaj
-Ridin' Solo by Jason Derulo
-Your Song, Me and Milee, and I'll Be Your Dashing Knight by Luke Conard
-Summer of '09 (Weird, right?), Hey Kristina, You Kissed Me at the Dundies by ALLCAPS
-Just the Way You Are by Bruno Mars
-Cooler than Me by Mike Posner
-California by Hawk Nelson (This song is in every playlist inspired by school breaks)
-OMG by Usher feat. will.i.am
Yeah. I don't really find a recurring theme in the Summer '10 one. But here is another list of some of the playlists that I created this summer:
An Ode to Great Hair/Fitz (about "Fitzwilliam")
My Kind of Christmas (my fave Christmas songs)
Quieres Bailar? (dance party mix)
X (an extension of my Aftermath playlist, I think)
Ready, Set, Jump! (about jumping in love)
iPod Tears (self-explanatory)
Ever Been...? (this one's weird, it's based on the fact that we can all learn from all the relationships that we have or had with others and how the ones that end make us stronger and those that endure make us happy)
Poof (heartbreak that comes suddenly...but not really because everyone around you saw it coming except you)
Nostalgia (missing not "what was," but "what wasn't")
Okay, let's move on!
IV. What I've Been Watching
Okay, so lately I subscribed to two more vloggers on YouTube: Toby Turner and Dan Brown. I think I stumbled upon Dan Brown's videos in the early weeks of summer when I watched an episode of Who Wants to be a Millionaire with him on it. So I checked his videos out and I liked him so I subscribed. Anyway, I really liked the song that he recorded with Hank. I also just recently started watching Toby Turner's videos when he was mentioned by either Hank or John, I can't remember which, on a vlogbrother video earlier this summer. So I checked out his videos and I love, love, loved him. I thought he was super funny and I always like what he does to his iPhone at the beginning of each video. Here are some links, you should check them out:
Dan Brown: http://www.youtube.com/user/pogobat
Toby Turner: http://www.youtube.com/user/TobyTurner
Another thing that I totally found awesome were A Very Potter Musical and A Very Potter Sequel. I watched the parody of Ke$ha and 3Oh!3's song, "My First Kiss," that was made by Kristina, Alexander Carpenter and some other guy (gah, I forgot his name--sorry, Other Guy) and then I went on Alexander's channel and he talked about an HP play called A Very Potter Sequel. So I checked it out and I spent two whole nights watching AVPM. Right now, I'm about to begin watching Act 2 of the Sequel. It's super funny. I mean, for the first one, some parts are just gross and disturbing and it's totally not kid-appropriate but, dude, did you know that these two plays existed?! I think they're pretty cool.
But right now, I think the second one is much better because it fills in some questions I had when I watched the first one. And the songs on the Sequel are much better. I got Shayne and Josh watching them, too, haha.
I especially love Ron, Snape, and Quirell, I'm kinda put-off about how Hermione and Ginny are portrayed, and I can't stand some of the characters (namely, Bellatrix, Molly, etc.) I think the people that play Harry and Draco are just perfect for their parts. And I have great respect for the guy who plays Voldemort. Like, a lot of respect. You'll get it once you watch it the first one and part of the second one.
But, anyway, just watch it all here; go to the Playlists section: http://www.youtube.com/user/starkidpotter?blend=2&ob=4
V. WisconsinShayne's friend from Wisconsin, Margo, whom she met at her Mexico trip, came to visit the island with her family and we took them out a couple of days ago. Yeah. We just drove around and we went to a bunch of places.
VI. The Hair that Triggered Nostalgia
Observe how I tell you a story that doesn't involve any names, so it's not gossip. So I saw this picture on Facebook because it came up on my News Feed (I wasn't creeping; If I was, you know I'd tell you), and I decided to get a closer look at the other pics on the same album and I saw a couple of pics of someone. And yeah. now observe how I didn't finish because I realized that I can't tell the story to its full effect without revealing names of facts about the person that would totally give away to who the person is. So, now observe how I'm going to tell you all about it when I actually see you next week.
VII. My SMART Goals for Junior Year
I haven't worked out the details yet, so these are pretty rough-draft-ish:
-Go to Nationals for debate
-Be faithful to my planner
-Speak fluently in Spanish toward the end of the school year
-Committ to Imua
-Maintain a healthy weight of 103-107 lbs.; decrease dairy intake
-Use all of my free time (free periods, lunch, before and after school) in school wisely
-PSAT/SAT Goals
-Fac Rels Indiv Comm Goals
-NaNoWriMo Goals
-Make a person's day every day
-Write a total of 50 thank you notes
I have more, but I'm only putting these up. You should make your list.
VIII. We'll Be a Dream and Poetically Pathetic
I don't quite remember why this was in my list. But, anyway, these are songs that I love. I liked listening to "We'll Be a Dream" by We the Kings feat. Demi Lovato even before it was on the radio. And "Poetically Pathetic" by Amber Pacific is just awesome, too. Again, I don't remember why these were on my list, but oh well.
VIX. More Nostalgia
I miss my elementary friends from the Philippines. Or maybe I don't miss them, technically, because I was pretty young when I left and I only remember bits and pieces of people. So maybe I miss the idea of their friendship? Nah, I think I miss them. I guess. Maybe. But I definitely miss Stef.
X. I Remembered Something...But then I Forgot
Darn, I remembered something else that I was supposed to tell you while I was typing up item number eight but I totally forgot what it was! But I remember that it was good and it was important! Ahhh, darn it. Okay well, maybe tomorrow.
That is all for now. WOOT--longest post ever!!!
Okay, I am tired. I wanna go to sleep because I have to wake up early tomorrow.
Anyway, you are awesome. I am awesome, especially for this post. Because it's the longest.
Kay.....oh! One more thing (I don't think this was item #10, thought): Yeah, we should definitely
discuss what to talk about when we do the same thing on some days.
Imma proofread and then...
All right, done. That's it for reals now. Good night. I will read your post in the morning (or right after I post, if you already did) because you're still editing, I think. Oh wait, no, I think you abandoned it and then you'll probably finish it later. Well, time for sleepy time.

Jen's Mayflower Week Post #7: I. CAN. DO. THIS.
I have done nothing but read since this morning. I'm reading in my parents' room and I occassionally take breaks every hour or so to use the bathroom and drink water. I CAN DO THIS!! I'm on page 264.
Yeah, what you wrote on your previous post was borderline gossip. And really, I don't wanna know any of it if you're gonna continue to post it on this blog. Why can't you just call or wait until tomorrow when we actually see each other?
Which brings me to something else, when I say that we can all probably work for a couple of hours after the seminar, I mean, like, stay on campus. Because my mom won't let me go anywhere and she'll be picking me up. I just hope that she stays late in school so we can actually get some stuff done if needed.
So, I'm gonna go and read, read, read some more.
FULL STEAM AHEAD!!!!

Jen's Mayflower Week Post #6: EPIC FAIL
Yep, I have failed. It's 9:20pm on Saturday, the day I'm supposed to be finished, and I'm still on page 216. I was supposed to be at page 216 on WEDNESDAY.
EPIC FAIL.
Anyway, I'm still going to have to go and read soon. Especially because Darwin just posted on my wall that there are no SparkNotes for Mayflower. I mean, I wasn't planning on using SN for it anyway, because I am reading the book; it's just that I hoped that I could use SN afterward just in case I miss something (because I'm only paying attention to what I'm reading about 75% of the time) and I thought it would help me when I have to answer the questions and stuff. I'm screwed.
And I'm sad.
Okay, here's a list to remember to talk about in my first real post (which will be AFTER I finish Mayflower):
1) Game
2) Wisconsin
3) Hair (maybe not...because I'd rather message you about it, but I can't because I'm not allowed)
4) NaNoWriMo
5) AVPM and AVPS
Yeah...being lame again.
BTW, you might not want to wait for me to post for realz because that might not be for a couple of more days.

Jen's Mayflower Week Post #5: SORRY!!!!
I know, I know. I am being SUPER lame here. But I'm sorry, Mayflower is just terrible and I don't wanna read it but I have to and I still have to do the questions after and I still have a buttload of pages to read because I've been neglecting it and it's so boring and I have to finish it my tomorrow night or else I don't think I will have any more strength to go on and read it so I am really really sorry for being the epitome of the worst possible state of lameness.

Jen's Mayflower Week Post #3: Yeah, you do gossip. But don't do it here.
Again, I will have responses later on in the week. I've been working hard for the Ed Tech thing (I just finished for tonight) and I haven't read a single page of Mayflower today. Grr. So instead of me typing up a whole blog, I'm just going to copy and paste on here what exactly I was doing for the Ed Tech planning thing.
The assignment was to write a scenario about a day in the life of an 'Iolani student, teacher, parent, faculty, or whatever in terms of what I envision technology will be like and share it with the rest of the committee. I chose a student's view and I tried to include as much of 'Iolani student life as possible. This is what I came up with:
A day in the life of a typical ‘Iolani junior several years from now
My eyes snapped open and I glanced at the alarm clock on my bedside table. 4:42. Just three minutes before it’s set to ring at 4:45am. That means I only got 4 hours and 12 minutes of sleep. An “okay” night, according to my standards.
While I munched on my cinnamon toast for breakfast, I turned on my laptop/tablet and opened my personal organizer to check if I had time to chill before homeroom today. It’s only Tuesday and the week was already getting to me. My tasklist in the morning was easy enough: Print homework. Then at 7 I had a Fac Rels Indiv meeting. That leaves me…about ten minutes to chill.
I stuffed my laptop back in my school bag and got in the car, ready to go. At 6:45, I arrived on campus and went straight to the library. Some early birds were already at work in the computers. Almost all of them were working on iMovie projects and a couple were reviewing videos of yesterday’s lectures for some of their classes. I mean, of course, no one’s going to use those computers for printing. So I joined other students in the carrels with their own laptops. They were probably busy typing up the last few sentences in their papers and essays. Good thing I already finished my essay on Shakespeare’s The Taming of the Shrew. All I had to do was open up my laptop and hit print. Or I could just turn it in electronically by dragging the file into Dr. Webb’s online “paper drop-off box.” Whichever, really.
I picked up my paper from the printer then headed down to the SAO. I opened up my personal organizer again on my laptop/tablet, as well as my Fac Rels Indiv Notebook. While I waited for Kendall and Rachel, I reviewed the notes I jotted down during last month’s project for Mr. Brasher. I also pulled up the picture of the final product on the same page so that we could refer to it again later on in the meeting while we evaluated the project. When Rachel and Kendall came in, they were both ready with their own tablets/laptops. We quickly “connected” to each other’s tablets/laptops and began to work.
Nothing much happened in homeroom today. I checked for any morning announcements. Earlier in the year, I had already tagged all that could possibly relate to me—speech and debate, cross country, orchestra, Imua, student council, etc.—so that only the notes and reminders on the daily bulletin that contain these terms would be sent to my own personal email account. Of course, I had to skim the daily bulletin just in case there were some that I missed.
I headed off to SeƱora’s class for first period totally psyched because we had another Skype session scheduled for the day. For the past couple of weeks, we had been getting to know some students at a boarding school in Barcelona and some students who attend a public school in Peru. Everyone in my class just loves being paired to another teenager miles away and having normal conversations with them in another language. I mean, nothing beats the kind of practice we get from talking to native Spanish speakers, right? Plus, my partner from Spain, Guillermo, is pretty cute.
I had a precalculus test today. I was kind of nervous about it at first because I couldn’t exactly follow Mr. Guillou’s lecture yesterday in class. Good thing that all the problems and examples that he showed us were recorded and uploaded onto his class website. I think I slowly replayed the problems step-by-step about a million times last night. It’s a good thing that I could pause the replays of the problems after every step so that I had time to digest what specific concepts Mr. Guillou applied each time. There was one problem that gave me a hard time though but I gave it my best shot. As I walked to my next class after the test, I logged on to Mr. Guillou’s class website. While we were taking the test, he had allowed all the students in my class access to the file with today’s test answers. I looked for that one problem that gave me trouble and…..yesss! I got it right!
Dr. Webb gave me back my paper on the definition of love using evidence from several of Shakespeare’s works. I listened to his comments through the podcast that was attached to the electronic paper that I had turned to him last week and made notes on my Shakespeare Notebook on my tablet/laptop about making sure to try not to have any Keables errors for my next paper.
On my way to APUSH, a note popped up on my laptop/tablet saying that I had to see Mr. Brown during my free period. Uh-oh. I hoped I’m not in trouble. Before entering my history class I quickly sent a reply saying that I received the notice and that I would certainly go to see him. Today’s class was intense because we had a mock trial for Andrew Jackson. Last night, our prosecution team all connected through a “network” that allowed us to research independently, chat with each other and share and work on documents, pictures, etc. all in one place. We were able to discuss strategies and anticipate the attacks that the defending side might pull while we searched online for information that could help us. There was this textbook that I had found in the library last week that had so much info that we could use. But the problem was someone from the defending side checked it out of the library just before I went in to check it out myself. That book doesn’t contain a single piece of information that helps their side but I bet that they just planned to do that so that we would be at a disadvantage. But I digitally checked out the e-book version, so HA!
AP Phys B was the usual. The teacher basically let us loose to work on our lab. I’m glad that we all had our own laptops/tablets because if not, we would have spent half the time trying to figure out who got to control the mouse before getting started on the activity. Working with each other definitely makes things more fun to learn and it makes me more open to the concepts when someone my age helps me understand along the way. I think it definitely sets a different feeling or atmosphere inside the classroom when we’re allowed to make discoveries and connections about the concepts on our own instead of being fed information all of the time.
Sometime during the day, I got another reminder on my laptop/tablet. Apparently, cross country practice was cancelled for today for some reason. That means I can make it to orchestra practice today. Sweet. Ms. Hafner’s been kind of upset that I had been missing some sessions because of sports so I gladly sent her a quick message and told her I’d make it after school. She replied with a smiley emoticon that looked like it was jumping for joy.
I finally figured out what to draw (or at least the source of inspiration) for my next drawing project. It happened right after the lunch bell rang. The trade winds were doing that cool trick over in the Center Courtyard again where all the fallen leaves are sucked into some mini cyclone and they swirl around and around in a small tornado of brown, orange and yellow. It only lasted for several seconds but, luckily, I had my phone with me so I snapped a quick photo and sent it via Bluetooth onto my laptop/tablet. I used it to inspired me as I worked on my sketch in art class.
The rest of the day was pretty much a blur. I went home, downloaded all of the assignments that I had to complete for tomorrow from all of my class websites and began homework. It was gonna be another long night.
End of scenario
Okay, gotta go squeeze in as much reading as I can. Byeee....

Byeee....

Jen's Mayflower Week Post #2: This ain't a gossip blog, no siree.
So yes. Because of that "thing" you mentioned in your last post, here's a new rule:
NEW RULE: We cannot mention other people's names on this blog in a way that can be construed to mean something bad.
Like, oh, you know what I mean. Just don't talk about your opinions about people we know and your thoughts on the things that are happening between people and us and just everyone in the whole world in general that's like that or may seem kinda like that. I mean, you can say, "So I spent, like, an awesome day with so and so..." but you cannot be all, "OMG, so and so was totally, like, wearing the most hideous whatever today!" I mean, seriously. This ain't a gossip blog, no siree. If you have to question it, just don't put it on.
Yeah...
Moving on: I actually met my 48-page goal before I slept last night so yesssss. I am on my way. I have about 20-ish more pages to go tonight before I go to bed. Did you know that the Pilgrims did not in fact land in Plymouth Rock??? I was so outraged when I read about that--all this time I've been living a lie!!!
Another thing: I really liked the idea of you putting "In Your Pants" after your summer reading book for USH. John Green did that in a video by the way, if you didn't know....here:
http://www.youtube.com/user/vlogbrothers#p/c/D11540E6F91A7FAB/6/IORFlwNJ7H8
So I did it for the whole summer reading list and here are some of the good ones (I put a star next to the ones I liked and/or are really bad):
Eng 7 - Hope Was Here in Your Pants
Eng 9 - When I Was Puerto Rican In Your Pants or I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings in Your Pants
Am Lit - The Color of Water in Your Pants
AP Eng - Crime and Punishment in Your Pants
CNF - Rocket Boys in Your Pants
*CW - The Book of Other People in Your Pants
Finding Poetry - Sir Gawain & the Green Knight in Your Pants
*Interpersonal Comm - Being There in Your Pants
Lit of Sport - The Ol' Man in Your Pants (Oh, this is pretty bad, but I don't meant anything bad about Father Bray here)
Shakespeare - The Taming of the Shrew in Your Pants
WFM - Fast Food Nation in Your Pants
HMW - Animal Farm in Your Pants
*USH - A Voyage Long and Strange in Your Pants (courtesy of you)
**AP Econ - Naked Economics: Undressing the Dismal Science in Your Pants (haha!)
*AP Euro - A World Lit Only by Fire in Your Pants
*Econ & SE - Our Time is Now in Your Pants
Okay, I'm off to read Mayflower!

P.S. No I didn't buy WGWG. Like my parents would allow it?!
P.P.S. I did see the Twister pics. Some of those were pretty super awkward humping starfish.
P.P.P.S. Stop liking everything that I put on Facebook.
P.P.P.P.S. I'm enjoying myself on the Ed Tech committee meetings.
P.P.P.P.P.S. Okay, bye. For real kine now.
P.P.P.P.P.P.S. Oh wait, one more thing: I got Shann's letter today! I feel special. :)
P.P.P.P.P.P.P.S. Last one, I promise: You have to do spell check on your posts and you have to proofread. Seriously. :)

Jen's Mayflower Week: Post #1
So we talked for about 40 or 45-ish minutes ON THE PHONE (so no texts, yay!) today, so this will be super short.
Note: I will respond to your party post (and other posts after this, for that matter) later on in the week when I have actual time.
Warning: Most of my posts this week will look like this. SHORT.
Point of slight interest: I found it very weird that, in Eragon, Eragon didn't have more of a "WTF?? A DRAGON?!?!?!" moment when Saphira hatched right in the middle of the night in his bedroom.
I mean, weren't dragons believed to be extinct at the time? And am I right in saying that there were no such things as Dragon Riders anymore at the time? Plus, isn't Eragon, like, FIFTEEN at the time of the said hatching?
So shouldn't this mean that, say, if a beautiful yet WEIRD blue dragon that is believed to be, like, gone from the whole entire world (or at least Alagaesia) suddenly comes out of this WEIRD and magical blue rock that a young teenager who lives in a farm and have, therefore, never seen much of the world (or Alagaesia) WEIRDLY finds in a WEIRD and evil forest, sometime in the middle of the night, in the middle of said teenager's bedroom, isn't it REASONABLE to predict that said teenager would be like, "O.M.G. FRENCH THE LLAMA! THERE'S A FUGGING DRAGON IN MY ROOM! AAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!"???
He had more of a "Whoa. A dragon....COOLIO! Now, Imma go back to sleep" kind of moment.
But then again, this is one reason why I'm not Christopher Paolini.
Anyway, to the Mayflower!!!

P.S. I meant the book. Not the actual ship. Yeah.

No, YOUR sitzpinkling disgusts me.
I have a bunch of short little things tonight.
So first things first: You didn’t make your font color blue for your last post. I demand a punishment.
And moving on: I had a magical Saturday night last night.
It’s mainly because the bulk of my NaNoWriMo idea finally emerged from my lately cluttered brain. When I feel like writing, I usually open up a Word document and just basically type to myself (like, as in, TALK to myself…except I’m typing). So I opened up a Word document and I did just that. And POOF. Most of it just flowed out of my fingertips as they danced on the keyboard. I didn’t write-write anything in the story or anything; I just plotted. At one point late into the night, though, the magic juice ran out and I literally kept typing up the same question over and over because I couldn’t find the answer to it. By the end, I was typing with the CAPS LOCK on and with a bunch of ?s and !s after the same question that I just couldn’t figure out.
What was the question, you ask? It was, “Why is she in danger? OMG, I don’t know why she’s in danger! WHY IS SHE IN DANGER!?!?!?! SOMEONE TELL ME WHY SHE’S IN DANGER!!!!!!!!!”
And that’s where I got stuck. But it was really magical. Like, I could just feel the electricity in my room. It was weird.
And moving on again: I had an awesome day with Ashlyn, Shayne and Thuy Ny today.
We ate lunch at CPK then watched Despicable Me.
It was all right. Very cuuuuuuutteeeeee! And, in the words of little Agnes from the movie, it was very “FLUUFFFFFFFFYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
I also received all of Ashlyn’s not-needed-anymore policy treasures so I am happy.
Let’s keep on moving shall we: I am setting up a goal for myself that I will finish reading Mayflower by the time I am ready to go to sleep this coming Saturday night.
I have 287 pages left to read and I have 6 days to do it. If I read 48 pages every day until Friday, then 47 pages on Saturday, I can definitely finish. Then, I’d have enough time to outline my responses to the summer reading questions.
And I think that’s basically it for tonight. Yes, I’m lame.

P.S. My mom actually bought the wrong shoes. It wasn’t the ones the I actually wanted. I still got new gladiator-type flats though.
P.P.S. Are you hooked on Pretty Little Liars like everyone else in the world?
P.P.P.S. I don’t know what this P.S. is for. I just wanted to do a third one.
P.P.P.P.S. I didn't know that Alaska was based so much on John Green's real boarding school: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lht_JH2xi6w
