Jen's Mayflower Week Post #6: EPIC FAIL

Yep, I have failed. It's 9:20pm on Saturday, the day I'm supposed to be finished, and I'm still on page 216. I was supposed to be at page 216 on WEDNESDAY.

EPIC FAIL.

Anyway, I'm still going to have to go and read soon. Especially because Darwin just posted on my wall that there are no SparkNotes for Mayflower. I mean, I wasn't planning on using SN for it anyway, because I am reading the book; it's just that I hoped that I could use SN afterward just in case I miss something (because I'm only paying attention to what I'm reading about 75% of the time) and I thought it would help me when I have to answer the questions and stuff. I'm screwed.

And I'm sad.

Okay, here's a list to remember to talk about in my first real post (which will be AFTER I finish Mayflower):

Weird Telephone Conversation

Kendall, your video was AWESOME. Except for the gara-garas on your clone there that totally gave away the fact that it was fake. But other than that, it was AWESOME. I could never make anything like that and you know it, so goood one! How did you do that anyway? Oh, and side note #1: From what I could see, your bathroom is preeeettttyyyyy.

Okay, I promised you guys a story/flashback thing froma couple of posts ago but I'm not exactly in an all-out writing mood today. To tell you the truth, the flashback is just basically a telephone call from when I was in elementary school...maybe first grade. So here's a script-type thing that you know I like to do now and then. Except this one won't be as crazy.

Setting: Where I grew up as a child in Philippines
Approx. Time: Around 7 or 7:30-ish pm on a school night
(Note: This was all in Filipino)

Telephone: Riiing! Riiing!
Me: Hello?
Guy Friend: Hi Jen!
Me: Hi...
GF: So....um. Here's my mom.
Me: *confused* What?
Guy Friend's Mom: Hello?
Me: Hello.
GFM: Hi Jen.
Me: *automatic very polite voice and manner* Hi Auntie.
(My mom on side: *whisper* Who is it?)
(Me on side: *whisper, still confused* It's [insert guy friend's name here] and his mom.)
GFM: What are you doing?
Me: We just finished eating dinner, Auntie. I'm helping to clean up the table.
GFM: Oh that's good. Did you do all of your homework.
Me: Yes, Auntie. I finished it when we got home.
GFM: Wow, that's good. When do you go to sleep?
Me: Pretty soon, Auntie. I go to sleep at 8.
GFM: Wow, that's really good. Every night?
Me: No, only on school nights, Auntie.
GFM: Oh, wow, ok, that's good then. Here's [insert guy friend's name here].
GF: Hi.
Me: Hi. *still confused*
GF: Ok, see you tomorrow.
Me: Ok.
GF: Ok, bye.
Me: Bye.
End telephone conversation.

For some reason, I remembered this so suddenly a couple of days ago while I was typing about naps in the afternoon and it made me smile so I thought about sharing it with you. It probably doesn't have much importance but it's one of the few memories I have from when I was little. To this day, this telephone conversation still baffles me.

So it's Friday morning and I feel like I should DO things. I feel like I wanna go to sleep tonight knowing that I accomplished some things. So this will only be a short one so I can get started on those things.

GEOMETRY FTW!!

So I was reviewing the list and found that this item was on it: "Do some chalk drawings (Geometry! Using only string, chalk, and straightedges!)" I forgot that this was there so I wasn't able to inform you that it has now been done!!!! (Jen did it last summer and I did it this summer) So here is a picture of my (/my partners) awesome chalk drawing!

Jen I asume that you have a picture of yours and that you will include it in your next post.

You know what, I just had an awesome idea: we have had this blog for a year and we have not been using it very well. I was reading Kristina's (italktosnakes.blogspot.com) blog the other day and she mentioned something that I didn't really find significant until right now. She has decided to do BEDA which stands for Blog Every Day in August. So, Jen, are you up for it. It sounds like a really good idea that could be a lot of fun since we definitely have the time to do it since it is summer for most of this month. I guess that I have already started since it is technically August when I am writing this. We could both post everyday or maybe alternate, Idk, whatever you want to do. But since I am publicly writing this in a blog post, you are technically obligated to doing this by our non existent readers. Hey, we could even do it vlogbros style and make it so for this month, our only text based communication is through blog posts! So what do you think? [Btw, I really want to try the vloging one...]

List Update! #1

Okay, so like we said before, this blog is a record of our List. I've posted up the current List on the side and I will be keeping that list updated regularly. I also separated them based on what we've completed and what we haven't. You know, if/when we decide we don't want to do something anymore, or if/when we add things to it, or if/when we complete a task on the list. Usually, a blog post will accompany that update, that kind of thing.

Chewy and I are currently working on writing a story (which, as you can see, is on the List). I was looking through some old files in my computer and I found all of the fanfiction and stories that I wrote a couple of years ago, back when we were still in middle school (I didn't know Chewy, then). And I got so excited because I was reading all of them and laughing and everything. So I e-mailed all of my work to Chewy and was all like, "Hey, dude! Check all of this out! I rock!"

Chewy and I like telling stories. I probably like it more than he does. I love listening to long stories, telling long stories, reading them, and writing them. When we first met, Chewy let me read this story that he came up with when he was bored and it was about this kid who finds a magic skateboard and everything. So I knew he was going to appreciate all my work. And he did.

And the "story" of David, Cleo, Chris, and the US government was born. Heh. XD
