The Doctor!!!

So like Jen, I have been doing a lot of things lately, but none of which included blogging recently so I thought that I would talk about something that I have been really into lately: DOCTOR WHO!

For those of you who don't know (and when I say 'you' I mean the ten creepers that we have) Doctor Who is a British TV show that's been around since the 60's. It's about a 900 year old Time Lord, who goes around space and time in his spaceship (the TARDIS) and has cool adventures with Earth friends. I had heard about it a lot and I thought that I would give it a try. And basically, I LOVED it. Now, I didn't start all the way back at the beginning of the series since that would be like 200 episodes, over 20 seasons. Actually, the series kind of ended back in the 80's but in 2005 they brought it back. Now, the series has been able to survive this long because every time the main character, the Doctor, is about to die, he has the magical ability to regenerate into a new body and continue living. So basically it means that a new actor plays the Doctor every time.

I started at season 5, with Matt Smith as the Doctor, which is the most recent season and it was amazing. I got through the 13 episodes in a matter of days. I then went back to the first season from 2005 and I am currently working my way from there. All in all, it is a great show. It's been extremely time consuming, but I find it worth it because it is such an amazing show and I can't wait 'til I get through all of it.

Now Jen is also a Doctor Who fan, however she is nowhere near as devoted as I have seem to become. She just watches it whenever it's on TV (BBC America). Shameful.

Other than Doctor Who, I have also been up to a few other projects.

The first of which is something I got from one of the Five Awesome Girls, Kayley.
She recently made a video about how this year she is going to write down, everyday, why that day is awesome. It's kind of hard to find a reason why everyday is awesome, but it's fun to see what was good about your day.

Another project that I've taken on is a book challenge.
Now I didn't set a specific amount of books that I plan to read throughout the year since this is my first year and I have no clue how many I can read. So I just want to see how many I can by the end of the year.
So far I have two. I know, that's terrible, but I will give a good reason!
The first of which was HP 2 because I decided that I want to read the whole series again (I skipped the first one because I read it like two years ago).
The second was Ship Breaker by Paolo Baciagalupi. It was a decent book that I did enjoy, although it wasn't the best in the world. If you have some spare time and you don't know what to read, I suggest that.
There was a huge month long gap in which I didn't finish any books because I had started so many!
I got halfway through HP 3, but then I had to start Ship Breaker because of my Creative Writing class.
I started listening to my Red Pyramid audio tapes.  And I started and stopped 13 Little Blue Envelopes.

My plans on what to read next?
The rest of the HP's, Just Don't Fall by Josh Sundquist, the new Kane Chronicles book, the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series (I think they all count as just one book), 13 Little Blue Envelopes.

So um, yeah, I think that's about it.
